Glen Burnie man arrested on theft, drug

A Glen Burnie man was arrested on theft and drug charges after a police officer found him in the bathroom of an Annapolis store with a $700 fishing reel stuffed into his pants, Annapolis police said today. An employee of the West Marine store in the Hillsmere Shopping Center flagged down a patrolling officer about 2:45 p.m. Monday to report two suspicious men in a Jeep in the parking lot. Police determined that the Jeep had been stolen from Baltimore City, and that the men had gone into the store. Read more

Santa won't be giving these gifts this

Buying a good holiday gift for an outdoors enthusiast can be difficult, especially if you're not a hunter, angler or camper. I went shopping twice recently -- once to find some nice outdoors-related gifts, and then again to find items I thought would be a waste of money. Finding neat gifts was easy, especially with all the recent improvements in some staples of hunting, fishing and camping equipment. I also found some items that aren't worth a dime -- and I likely missed many others simply because shopping for unwanted gifts isn't much fun. Read more
